A happy arrangement: many people prefer cats to other people, and many cats prefer people to other cats.

I know it has been a minute since I last posted something on here.  I have been debating on using two journals.  It just seems unorganized to me.  I have a livejournal account which is private/friends only and then this one.  I can’t decide which one I want to use permanently.  This is one of my favorite shots of my ragdoll, Buddy, thus far.  I was studying for midterms this day and he was trying so hard to get attention from me.  I thought it was cute. :)

Loneliness adds beauty to life. It puts a special burn on sunsets and makes night air smell better.

Daniel and I went on our first Atlanta Photo Stroll.  I came across this group on flickr and finally was able to drive up this weekend which now I am glad I did not miss it!  It was such beautiful weather and the sky was perfect.  I kept wanting to have a nice big glass of orange juice as I was watching the sky.  I met some awesome people from the flickr group and am looking forward to going out again on another photo stroll.  This was at Stone Mountain Park at the top of the mountain.  The sun only sets behind the ATL skyline two times during the year, so we all took advantage of the photo opportunity.

How come anything you buy will go on sale next week?

Dani and I “splurged” this weekend and got something to add to our home.  I bought candles for the apartment as that it always a plus because it makes our living area smell nice and fresh.  Dani got a cutting board made out of bamboo from Bed Bath and Beyond to cut food on instead of the plastic ones we had.  Extremely bad for knives!  I got my 50mm f1.8 ii lens today and the second picture was shot with it.  I absolutely love it!  Great birthday present!

How many times have you woken up and the most boring things seemed to be most appealing?  Well, I had one of those days a few days ago which explains these photographs.  I am a big candle, diffuser, tart, etc person.  I love burning everything I can get my hands on that has a nice scent.

I absolutely love the first picture of my husband, myself, and our cat.  Sheila came over today as I stated previously in my last blog entry.  She went all out with making sure I had everything for cooking.  From Pyrex to utensils, containers, frying pan, and I think even a wok.  I was so overwhelmed that I almost started crying.  I am extremely greatful for everything I got from everyone.  My mother got me a 12 pc pot and pan set I needed.  It came with lids, so they definitely replaced the ones I had.  Dani and I may be going out tomorrow to check out getting a spice rack for the kitchen as well.  I can’t wait.  You will probably start seeing pictures of what I dare to make here on my blog soon hehe.  Well, I got to go take a shower and head to bed.  I am so full from everything we ate today.  We are both looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.  Oh by the way, Happy Valentine’s Day! :)

Advice is like snow – the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind.

It snowed in Georgia today.  It is just enough to cover the grass and make a slight mess on the road, but not enough to cause severe danger.  It stays for a day and then melts away the next day.  Sort of ideal if you ask me.  Of course everything shut down because people freak out.  It was still very pretty, but looking forward to a sunny Saturday.  Sheila, Dani’s mother, will be coming over.  I think I am going to be in for a surprise.  We’ll see.  Video chat with mom and the family at 8pm if Google Video is working and then back to playing The Sims 2!

Games lubricate the body and the mind.

Whenever I need to sleep, zone out, or just forget about things that are bothering me – I play The Sims 2.  I have no idea why it calms my nerves.  It is also very addicting.  I have been playing this on my free time.  My kid just went to college and is a Senior.  He is engaged and both him and his wife’s aspirations are family.  I am going to make them have a crap load of kids because the Sim’s world is not like our world.  They have no problems.  They have unlimited money.  Their government does not have a deficit.  They don’t get taxed to death.  You get my point.  Anyway, I ordered my 50mm f1.8 lens for my birthday.  I should get it by Tuesday of next week.  Brownie points for me!  I got to get back to my Accounting homework, then clean, and go food shopping.  Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

My favorite thing about eating gummy bears is knowing that they can’t fight back when you bite their heads off.

Today is my birthday and I do not have any plans.  I have to go to class tonight.  I don’t think I am going to be getting my 50mm f1.8 lens because I want that to go towards our bedset whenever we decide to get it or should I say whenever we can afford to get it. :)  Happy Birthday to me!

As anyone who has ever been around a cat for any length of time well knows, cats have enormous patience with the limitations of the human kind.

Buddy has been the best living thing in my life since I met Dani.  He is the best friend no one could ever compete with because they just would not win.  I love him to death.  He is going to be two years old in May.  He has been a soldier through it all.  He sits outside the shower most of the time and waits for me.  He follows me around the apartment.  Even keeps me company when I am using the bathroom. :)  He licks my hair right when I get out of the shower and lie down to go to bed.  Then he curls up on his pillow next to me.  He gets jeolous when I play The Sims 2.  He’ll come up and rub next to me hoping I will give him more attention than the game.  Sometimes when I am doing homework at the bar – he’ll look up at me and meow because he wants attention and knows that schoolwork is taking that time I could be loving on him away from him.  He is the greatest.
